In Osaka, a culture that values “laughter” has taken root, as evidenced by the development of a rich tradition of Kamigata performing arts, including manzai and rakugo.
We will host a festival centered on Namba Square—a symbol of Minami, Osaka’s renowned hub of “laughter”—that uses “comedy” as a common language and employs nonverbal approaches such as physical expression to allow visitors from both Japan and abroad to enjoy this unique Osaka culture, transcending language barriers.
