The World of Light Art: Creating a Sophisticated Evening Atmosphere in Nakanoshima Park
"NAKANOSHIMA ART LIGHTS 2026: Art of Light Along the Waterfront" is set to take place!
With light artist Takahiro Matsuo serving as art producer, we will showcase a collection of fantastical light art installations—including some making their debut—at Nakanoshima Park.
On the first day of the event, there will be a spectacular Nakanoshima Water Mini Fireworks Show*, as well as,
From Friday, October 23, through Sunday, October 25—a three-day event—featuring “Night Glow,” where hot air balloons light up the night sky, as well as outdoor concerts and a variety of food options, including a wine bar.

Light Art Exhibition “K.L.V FIELD” @ Rose Garden (West Side)
"K.L.V. (Kinetic Light Vision)" involves raising and lowering spheres of light suspended from ultra-fine wires, and
A kinetic light installation that creates a phenomenon in which countless lights seem to float through space.
In this outdoor version of K.L.V., scattered lights interact with one another while blending into the surrounding landscape, creating a vast wave of light.

Light Art Exhibition “Bloom with You” @ Rose Garden (East Side)
A bouquet of roses, arranged as if floating gently in the air. When you pick it up, light spreads out around it, making the surrounding roses glow brilliantly.
It will be illuminated.
This is a photogenic, interactive art experience where people and light come together to create your very own “Bloom.”

Lighting Exhibition “Water Bridge” @ Barazono Bridge
An arch of light brought to life by projections and lighting. Light in the form of water-like ripples—symbolizing Osaka, the “City of Water”—spreads across the entire bridge.

Light Art Exhibition “Prism in the Air” @ Nakanoshima Park, near the Hanshin Expressway overpass
A new light installation that uses light and fog to create a rainbow of light. By projecting special light onto the fog that floats in the space like clouds,
This dynamic public art installation uses refraction and reflection through prisms to create trails of vivid colors reminiscent of sunlight.

He explores the laws inherent in natural phenomena and the behavior of light, using light as his medium to create emotional works that appeal to the imagination.
Large-scale light installations, video art, kinetic art, light phenomena, and more,

Among recent awards, the “K.L.V.” Kansai Pavilion at the Osaka-Kansai Expo won the Gold Prize at the 2025 Japan Spatial Design Awards,
Having won the Silver Award at the DFA Awards 2025 (Hong Kong), among other accolades, the company has earned high acclaim both domestically and internationally for its cutting-edge work in the fields of spatial art, design, and lighting.

Night Glow & Music
For three days only, from Friday, October 23, through Sunday, October 25, experience “Night Glow” (nighttime hot-air balloon illumination), where a large hot-air balloon will float above Nakanoshima Lawn Park at night.
It's happening!
On the day of the event, you'll be able to watch from the very start as the balloon is launched.

In addition, an outdoor concert featuring soothing music will be held against the backdrop of the “Night Glow”—where the Nakanoshima area’s skyscrapers are bathed in the warm glow of hot air balloons!
We’re bringing you a first-class night of music featuring artists who represent the Kansai jazz, R&B, and soul scenes, with their overwhelming vocal power, soulful singing, and rich guitar playing.
