In cooperation with West Japan Railway Company, a special mini-tour will be held on February 16 (Sun.), 2025. The train, a Series 14 coach "Salon Car Naniwa," which has been in service since the days of Japan National Railways and is popular among railroad fans, will be chartered from Osaka Station, and visitors can see the Miyahara Branch of Aboshi General Rolling Stock Office from the train window!
The application for the lottery for this event tour will begin at 14:00 on January 11 (Sat.).
The "Salon Car Naniwa" is a European-style passenger car built in 1983, and is currently used for special group trains. The Miyahara Branch of the Aboshi General Rolling Stock Works is home to a wide variety of rolling stock, but even though it is located southwest of Shin-Osaka Station, it is not open to visitors on a daily basis to view the details.
This "Come to Osaka! TRAIN DAY" will provide you with a rare opportunity to take a leisurely tour of the train yard from the window of the "Salon Car Naniwa," so please take advantage of this unique opportunity.
