Guinness World Record Challenge Event

Osaka City

To commemorate the appointment of singer and actor Yutaka Yokoyama (SUPER EIGHT) as "Osaka Konohana Tourism Ambassador," a Guinness World Record attempt event will be held on Saturday, October 25, at Maishima Barbecue Park in Konohana-ku, Yokoyama's hometown, to unveil the new position. The event will be held at Maishima Barbecue Park in Konohana-ku, Konohana-ku, the hometown of Yokoyama.

Yutaka Yokoyama (SUPER EIGHT) was appointed as the Osaka Konohana-ku Tourism Ambassador.

At the Guinness World Record attempt event, which also serves as the unveiling of the new Osaka Konohana-ku Tourism Ambassador, Yokoyama will make an appearance, give a speech as the ambassador, and then challenge the Guinness World Record for the "largest number of people cooking teppan-yaki at the same time" with 1,000 participants. The current Guinness World Record is 798 people (to be achieved in 2024). Ticket PIA will begin accepting applications for participants in this event on September 19 (Fri.) at 12:00 p.m.
As the site of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, Konohana-ku is attracting attention from around the world. In order to continue to make Osaka an increasingly attractive spot, Ms. Yokoyama plans to act as a tourism ambassador to promote the various attractions that Osaka has to offer, including her hometown of Konohana-ku.

Hi, I am Yutaka Yokoyama.
I am pleased to announce that I have been appointed as a tourism ambassador for Konohana-ku, Osaka.
The Guinness World Record attempt event will be held on October 25.
The contents of the event will be teppanyaki. I myself am looking forward to seeing the scale of the event.

About your visit

Each person is required to bring a paper ticket. Please remember to bring your own.

The "Free Bus Pass" required for the round-trip shuttle bus service will be issued at the time of ticket issuance. As with the admission ticket, one ticket per person is required.

All visitors must be present.

Those who apply for the special Konohana Ward residents quota must present a photo ID that confirms your address on the day of the event.

*Please note that you will not be allowed to enter if you do not have your own tickets.

How to get to the venue

The extra bus service between "Sakurajima Ekimae" and "Maishima Sports Island" of Osaka City Bus will be available as a shuttle bus to and from the venue.

A "Free Bus Pass" will be issued at the time of admission ticket issuance to allow visitors to use the round-trip shuttle bus free of charge.

The bus service is available only between "Sakurajima Ekimae" and "Maishima Higashi" on the Osaka City Bus.

Please present your "Free Bus Ride Card" to the driver when you get off the bus.

The "Free Bus Pass" is valid only on the day of the event, Saturday, October 25. It cannot be used on any other day. No refunds will be made even if you do not use it.

*This service is not available for the No. 81 buses connecting Nishi-Kujo and Maishima Sports Island, and for the Hokko Kanko buses.

Please keep your "Free Bus Boarding Pass" with you until your return trip, as it will be your return ticket.

Please note the following when you visit the exhibition.

Admission reception will be held at the entrance of the venue. Please bring one ticket per person at the reception.

Please come to the reception desk in the presence of your companion.

Resale or transfer of the winning tickets through auctions, social networking sites, etc. is strictly prohibited. If the fact of sale or transfer is confirmed, you will not be allowed to enter the venue.


Photographing, recording, or recording with cameras (including cell phones) or video cameras is strictly prohibited at the event. Please be aware that your baggage may be inspected on the day of the event. In the unlikely event that a customer is found to be filming or recording, the customer will be asked to leave the venue immediately and the data will be erased. We ask for your cooperation in preventing voyeurism.

Those who apply for the "Konohana Ward Resident Special Bracket" will be required to present an ID (with photo and address) on the day of the event. If you do not have it, you will not be admitted.

Elementary and junior high school students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Preschool children are not admitted.

We will ask visitors to cook teppan-yaki (only stir-fry) for the Guinness World Record attempt. Please note that access to the venue will be restricted during the Guinness World Record attempt.

Food and beverages are not allowed.

Draft beer will be sold at the venue, cash only. Soft drinks will be served free of charge.

This event will be held even in light rain. However, to prevent problems, please refrain from using umbrellas in the viewing area.

The organizer, venue management, operation and production staff will not be involved in any trouble between customers.

The event venue may be filmed and photographed by the media and filmed by the organizer, and may be broadcast and posted on TV, magazines, websites, official SNS accounts, etc. During the event, we may interview and photograph visitors around the venue for their impressions of the artworks. By entering the event venue, you consent to the use of your likeness in this manner. Please understand this beforehand.

This event will be held in light rain or cancelled in stormy weather. In the event of cancellation, a notice will be posted on the official website.

In addition to weather, earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, etc., the organizer reserves the right to cancel the event or change the speakers, schedule, or other details without notice.
